Salons are held on the first Sunday of every month, from 4-6 p.m. All salons are held in Clifton’s historic ballroom and are free and open to the public. All guests are invited to dine, drink and socialize with us after the salon in Clifton’s Redwood Room.
Lawyer and celebrated author David Francis (Wedding Bush Road) shares his unusual story about leaving Australia, landing in the heart of the Los Angeles riots and taking refuge in the First African Methodist Episcopal Church. He ended up becoming lead tenor in the oldest black choir in Los Angeles and performing as the warm-up act to the Dalai Lama at the Hollywood Bowl, before co-founding Horses in the Hood, which provides inner-city children with the opportunity to learn to ride horses.
